Dementia & ACL: Memory Movers

Halcyon’s Dementia Programming serves to provide resident-centered experiences and interventions that are appropriate for the cognitive level of the resident. Allen Cognitive Level instruments are used to identify a level of cognitive functioning for a resident and then develop appropriate therapeutic interventions, approaches, and activities based on the level identified.

Falls & Balance Management

Falls are one of the primary disabling conditions of the elderly. Halcyon’s Falls and Balance Program focuses on managing the risk of falling by identifying both resident and environmental factors that contribute to fall risk. Our clinicians use a Restore, Compensate, and Adapt approach to manage the multiple risk factors contributing to a resident’s instability and resulting fall risk.

Functional Seating & Positioning: Fit to Sit

Our Fit to Sit Program ensures that residents are provided with the opportunity to achieve the highest level of safe functional performance through correct body alignment in order to optimize positioning and posture for movement and safe function.
